In the ReUse Works training business model, worker trainees help run a business in a supportive work environment and under the tutelage of a job coach. The training business partners with social service agencies and schools to provide a placement opportunity for clients or students needing work experience. Trainee wages and/or academic credit is provided by the placement agency or school, and the training is provided at no additional cost to the community. Many trainees have little or no recent work history and job descriptions are developed to accommodate the skills and abilities of each individual. At the end of their placement, workers receive a certificate of accomplishment and job reference to help them obtain future employment. ReUse Works currently operates one training businesses: Ragfinery.
